Health benefits of walking
Increased cardiovascular and pulmonary (heart and lung) fitness. reduced risk of heart disease and stroke. improved management of conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), high cholesterol, joint and muscular pain or stiffness, and diabetes. stronger bones and improved balance.
Walking has been one of the best sources of exercise I have ever engaged in. Partly because you can do it anywhere, anytime, alone or with friends. No special equipment, just a good pair of shoes or boots and of course proper clothing for the season.
I am probably in better shape now than I have been in years because of the amount of walking I have been doing and challenging myself to go further and higher.
There is such sense of accomplishment and feeling of personal power when you achieve the goal you set out to do.

Health Benefits of Qigong
The gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong reduce stress, build stamina, increase vitality, and enhance the immune system. It has
also been found to improve cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic, and digestive functions.

Those who maintain a consistent practice of Qigong find that it helps one regain a youthful vitality, maintain health even into old age
and helps speed recovery from illness. Western scientific research confirms that Qigong reduces hypertension and the incidence of
falling in the aged population. One of the more important long-term effects is that Qigong re-establishes the body/mind/soul
connection.

I first came across qigong when I was recovering from breast cancer, it was a way to help calm the storm and bring a sense of balance back into a very crazy time!

What Our Clients Are Saying

Perhaps most importantly, Lorraine created a safe atmosphere where I felt comfortable discussing my feelings and experiences; If I had not felt so comfortable I would not have been able to have such an insightful experience. Lorraine was never judgemental and was always presently listening and responding and our conversations following the work with the horses were incredibly helpful..
